“When people sit at the same table, are they truly in the same world?”

Ella Warren born on Ireland’s windswept west coast, her childhood of solitude and quiet observation shaped her lifelong fascination with emotional distance — even within proximity.
Her signature subjects are gatherings — dinners, conversations, domestic scenes — where characters sit close but remain emotionally estranged. The table becomes a stage, the wine glass a mirror, the silence between them louder than any dialogue.
“When people sit at the same table, are they truly in the same world?” Her canvases are not portraits of individuals, but psychological landscapes of connection and isolation.
