كانت أستريد تعمل مصممة رقمية في ستوكهولم، وتواجه البيكسلات الباردة يوميًا. خلال فصل الشتاء الطويل، شعرت بإرهاق رقمي عميق، وكانت تتوق إلى لمس الواقع بين يديها. بدأت تجرب في الاستوديو الخاص بها باستخدام الطين والجص، في محاولة لتكرار القوام الترابي الناعم والأشكال الهندسية المستديرة التي تحلم بها. أول عمل لها، وهو عبارة عن دائرة بسيطة من الطين لم يشفها فحسب، بل كان له صدى لدى عدد لا يحصى من الناس على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي. أما الآن، فهي تجمع بين الهندسة الحديثة واللمسات الحرفية اليدوية لتبتكر "مساحات شفاء" تملأ المنازل بالدفء.
