About Artist

Su Rui, 30, born in Chengdu and now based in Berlin, is a contemporary female artist represented by Mesonart. Known for her soft yet powerful color language, she combines watercolor, acrylic, and digital painting to explore themes of femininity, nature's cycles, and emotional healing. Her works have been featured in art festivals across Europe and Asia, drawing significant attention.
Su Rui was a sickly child, spending much of her early years between hospitals and books. Her mother, a traditional Chinese medicine doctor, once told her, “I heal the body with herbs, you heal the soul with colors.” Inspired by traditional Chinese culture, botanical imagery, and bodily awareness, Su Rui’s works are deeply introspective. After years living in Japan and the Netherlands, her style harmonizes Eastern minimalism with Western emotional expressionism. She believes that “every painting is an embrace of the inner self.”
