Astrid était conceptrice numérique à Stockholm, confrontée quotidiennement à des pixels froids. Au cours d'un long hiver, elle a ressenti une profonde fatigue numérique, aspirant à toucher la réalité du bout des doigts. Elle a commencé à expérimenter dans son studio avec de l'argile et du plâtre, essayant de reproduire les textures douces de la terre et les géométries arrondies de ses rêves. Sa première œuvre, un simple cercle en terre cuite, l'a non seulement guérie, mais a également trouvé un écho auprès d'innombrables personnes sur les médias sociaux. Aujourd'hui, elle associe la géométrie moderne à la touche artisanale, créant des "espaces de guérison" qui remplissent les maisons de chaleur.

Mateo de la Sombra utilizes heavy impasto and palette knife techniques to create "architectural" layers that challenge the boundary between painting and shadow-play.
